This is  problem with Playbook when down loaded the new OS . Now my Playbook won’t connect with my Computer. You downloaded the the newest version of the actual desktop software on to my PC and also the issue is the same. There isn’t any problem with any of my personal USB cables when you have no problem getting the unit. There is no trouble with the software either when you have no problem with syncing my personal Blackberry Torch. The actual desktop software roll-outs immediately when you are connect my Torch within, but with the Playbook, absolutely nothing happens. I have actually tried turning my personal Antivirus software away while re-booting the Playbook. Absolutely nothing works. Read this post Help to sync

Set up your tablet with the BlackBerry Desktop Software

The first time that you connect your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet to your Mac computer and use the BlackBerry Desktop Software, you are prompted to set up your tablet. You can change these settings at any time by clicking Device Options on the main screen.

  1. Connect your tablet to your computer.
  2. On your computer, in the Applications folder, click the BlackBerry Desktop Software icon.
  3. In the Device Name field, type a name for your tablet.
  4. In the Keep this amount of memory free section, specify the amount of storage space that you want to keep free for files other than music files.
  5. Click OK.
